THREE ESSENTIAL SYSTEMS
Vision - You truly need to see well in order to move well. Seeing well is more than simply seeing a static target while you're sitting or standing in place. We assess and address at least 5-10 key visual skills in our 1:1 setting which can impact on muscle tension, gait, posture and of course movement both inside and outside the fitness studio.
Vestibular - Located deep inside your inner ear, the vestibular system is your on board GPS for which way is up, which direction you're moving and how fast. It's key to creating positive changes like muscle tension, autonomics, balance and pain modulation. When we impact your vestibular system (which is reflexively connected to the visual system) with the proper assessments and drills, exciting things start to happen from a health and wellness standpoint.
Proprioception - This system addresses your brain maps for where body parts are in space and how fast they are moving. We work our clients through a system of multi speed and multi position joint mobility to increase the accuracy of the brain/body maps, which reduces threat levels and makes them better movers. This area involves both sensory and motor (movement) inputs and outputs.
